Sick for the Super Bowl

I’m bummin’ today. I’ve got a killer case of bronchitis, which will keep me away from a colleague’s Super Bowl extravaganza. I’m sorry I’ll be missing out on the fabulously all-American carbo-fest and chili fiesta. For the past few years, a friend and I have gotten together each Super Bowl (even though I’m not a huge football fan) to eat chili, watch the commercials, and graze on chips and his spicy velveeta dip (served hot in one of those little mini-crock-pot-ish things.)

Sadly, this year, I’ll be having chicken soup, diet 7-Up, and saltines. (America’s miracle cure.)

Bleech.

I can’t help but wonder what funky special dishes (surely not good for you, but damn tasty) others will be endulging in today…

  1. I didn’t actually eat it today, but were I with my parents, I would be feasting on the annual favorite, orange jell-o mold, made with mandarin oranges, orange jell-o, diet 7-up and heavy wipping cream. Sounds like it might be gross, but it’s soo yum!

    Feel better soon!

  2. Happy Valentine’s Day to the Chefs.–>
